He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Bowling and Ruth Bowling (Sizemore); his daughter Helen Smith; and his siblings, Ray Bowling, Sophie Bowling, Raymond Bowling, Arnold Bowling and Ford Bowling.
He is survived by: his wife Kizzie Henson Bowling; his children, Harvey and Jean Minton of Lexington, KY.; and his sisters, Jewell Riley of Annville, KY, Dorothy Brumley of Stomping Ground, Opal Root and Ruby Burns of Manchester, KY.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
