He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Cornett and Frances Nolan Cornett; his wife Sarah Collins Cornett; his daughter Elsie Bishop; his grandchildren, Kent Barger and Mary F. Cornett; and his siblings, Arnold Cornett, James Cornett, Alfred Cornett, Lewis Cornett and Pearl Cornett.
He is survived by: his children, Pearl Cornett of Sevierville, TN, Samuel Cornett of Salem, IN, Hiram Cornett of Salem, IN and Mary Cornett of Skull Branch; and his siblings, Hiram Cornett, Jr. of Manchester, Evelyn Strunk of Milan, IN, Janie Dawes of Norwood, IN, Mary Wilson of Scottsburg, IN, Lorna Madden of Milan, IN and Flora Jean Harris-Morgan of Salem, IN.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
