He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Martin and Lucy Turner Martin; his son Jeffrey Martin; and his siblings, Olzie Bowling, Naomi Mills, Marie Whitehead, Doris Cottongim, Mabel Brumley, Evelyn Davidson, Paul Martin, Pleaz Martin, Tom Martin and Leonard "Jeep" Martin, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Hettie Estep Martin; and his sons, Mitchell Martin and James "Jimmy" Martin. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
