She was predeceased by: her parents, Eliza Jane and Abe Gilbert; her husband William T. Whitaker; and her siblings, Farris, Estill, Ike, Chester, Fred, Chaney, Roy, Monroe and Mannon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Gillespie of Cincinnati, OH. and Terri Rolfes (Steven) of Cincinnati, OH.; her brothers, Grant Gilbert (Shirley) of Las Vegas, NV and Charles Gilbert (Martha) of Oneida, KY; and her grandchildren, Selena Rolfes, Jordan Rolfes and Joe Gillespie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and several close friends.
