He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Gross and Etta Gross. He is survived by: his wife Helen Deaton Gross; his son Freddy Gross (Jean); his grandchildren, Greg Napier (Kim), Mike Napier (Donna), Tracy Chesnut (Kevin) and Kim Carr; his great grandchildren, Dustin Napier (Vanessa), Stacey Hubbard (Brian), Durand Napier, Brian Taylor Napier (Emily), Luke Chesnut and Ryleigh Napier; and his great great grandchildren, Emma Napier, Ella Napier, Elen Hubbard and Iyla Hubbard.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Gideons International.
