He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Smith and Frances Smith (Mullins). He is survived by: his wife Angela Smith (Shane); and his children, Misty Jarvis, Allie Mullins, Jonathan Smith, Joshua Smith, Joseph Smith and Jessica Smith. He is also survived by three brothers and four sisters.
