He was predeceased by: his parents, Adern Wagers and Laura Wagers (Smith); his wife Hazel Wagers; the mother of his children Gladys Smallwood; his children, Dillard Wagers, Delbert Wagers, Delphia Stewart, Della Mae Wilson and Douglas Wagers; and his siblings, Claude Wagers, Mary Smith, Adern "Whack" Wagers, Billy Wagers and David Wagers.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Ray Wagers (Kathy), Denver Wagers (Molly), Joseph Jessie Wagers (Lisa) and Betty Wagers; and his sisters, Rhoda Estep (Doll) and Vicky Smallwood. He is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home (402 Richmond Rd, Manchester, KY 40962). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
