She was predeceased by: her parents, Boston Sandlin and Delcy Sandlin; her husband Rev. Jay Mathis; and her siblings, Opal McQueen and Glenn Dewey "G. B.".
She is survived by: her son Ronnie Jay Mathis (Michelle); and her granddaughters, TaLaura Jade Mathis and Kaylee Faith Mathis.
