He is survived by: his daughter Cathleen Vilar (Miguel Isaias Vilar, III); his grandsons, Miguel Isaac Vilar, IV and Jacob Josiah Vilar; and his siblings, Garry Dean Smith (Ines), George Smith, Jennifer, Terry Smith, Cheryl Depew (Vernon) and Rosaleen Eversole (Stacey).
