He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Smith and Minnie Smith (Goins); and his siblings, Ed Smith, Jr., Clyde Smith and Betty Jean Ely.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Smith (Jones); his son Kevin Smith; his grandson Dravin Scott Smith; and his siblings, Carolyn Dezarn, Joan Diedrich, Walker Smith and Russell Smith.
