He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Brooks and Sarah Rich Brooks; his son Kelly T. Brooks; and his siblings, Fay Decker, Cecil "Smitty", Judson and Jimmy Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Seretta Rich; his children, Marianna White (Jimmy) of Richardsville and Craig Brooks (Tajuana) of Mammoth Cave; his grandson Mason J. White of Richardsville; and his siblings, Janie Bell Sanders, Johnny Brooks (Donna), Roger Brooks (Angie), Jackie Brooks (Debbie), Jake Brooks (Debbie) and Dennis Ray Brooks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
