She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Cardwell and Jewell Cardwell; and her sisters, Virginia Rountree and Catherine Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Childress; her daughters, Jamie Lindsey (Brian) of Bee Spring and Rebecca Childress of Mammoth Cave; her granddaughter Hayley Lindsey of Bee Spring; and her siblings, James Cardwell, Donnie Cardwell, David Cardwell (Margie), Frances Lovins (Gordon), Darlene Wright (Jim), Anna Atwell (Robert), Marketta Denham and Amy Sampson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
