He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie W. Wilson and Bessie Mae Devore Wilson; and his brothers, Max Wilson and Edwin Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Faye Cobb Wilson; and his children, Janet Atwell of Magnolia, Peggy Ross Benham (Gary) of Brandenburg and Billy Wilson (Connie) of Hodgenville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
