He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Brey Gibson; his parents, Dave Gibson and Myrtle Farmer Gibson; and his brothers, Jesse, Orval and Dorman Lee Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Eugenia Butler (Billy Dale) of Sonora, Venita Hawkins (Bruce) of Buffalo, Viola Hawkins (Walter) of Summersville, Kenneth Ray Gibson (Shelia) of Campbellsville, Joey Gibson (Karen) of Campbellsville and Dorman Gibson (Debbie) of Tennessee. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
