He was predeceased by: his wife Anita F. Wilkins Nevitt; his parents, John W. Nevitt, and Nancy Dove Nevitt, Sr.; and his brothers, Gary (Kathy) and Cary Nevitt (Gail).
He is survived by: his son John W Nevitt, III (Erin) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Molly and Will Nevitt; his sister Judy Nevitt of Manassas, VA; and his close friend Joyce Guy of Mt. Washington. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other family members.
