He is survived by: his wife Shelbi Brooks Barnes of Magnolia; his children, Maeli Barnes and Ryder Barnes; his parents, Melissa Smith (Steve) of White City and James Barnes of Magnolia; his stepparents, Daniel Newman of Idaho and Charman Barnes of Campbellsville; his siblings, Makenzie Newman of Hodgenville, Shelbi Barnes of Campbellsville, Zachary Newman of Hodgenville and Dylan Barnes of Magnolia; his stepsiblings, Kayla Wever of Japan, Josh Newman of Louisville, Tanner of Hodgenville and Sean Smith of Hodgenville; his grandparents, Mitchell Cruse (Sandy) of Hodgenville, Bonnie Scott of Bowling Green, James "Jim" Barnes (Rayetta) of Elizabethtown and Linda Miller of Hodgenville; and his stepgrandparents, Gary, LaVerne Smith of White City and Janice Newman of Idaho. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
