As Charles departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Heitmiller and Muriel Heitmiller; his wife Janet McCarty (Jan); his sister Gayle Monson; and his sons, Michael and David.
He is survived by: his son John; and his grandsons, Christian, Jonah and Samuel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pearson's (149 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Cave Hill Cemetery (149 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207).
