He was predeceased by: his son Chris Jackson; his parents, James A. Jackson and Ethel Whitlow Jackson; his daughter-in-law Nicole Leigh Jackson; and his parents-in-law, Omer and Vivian Gibson Caven.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Jackson; his son Marcus Jackson; his adoptive daughter Nancy Wheeler; his grandchildren, Joshua Cecil (Leah), Kirsta Albert (Kenny), Kristian Lucas and Marc-Allan Jackson; and his sisters, Patricia Binford (Bailey), Kay Gentry (C. D.) and Charlotte Caven (Randy). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
