It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Omar Jones Parish Jr. of Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyda Igleheart Parish and Omar Parish, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Melton Parish of Madisonville; his daughters, Vicki Lamb (Terry), Valerie Cantrell and Dawn Fox; his grandchildren, Neil Kolodey (Tara), Audrea Sisk (Tom), Whitney Fuller (Charlie), Andrew Fox (Leigh Ann) and Emily Bello (Todd); his great grandchildren, Nathan Tapp (Maddie), Brooklyn Jones (Heath), Bradley Sisk, Jack Sisk, Cameron Fuller, Trevor Fox, Lucas Fox and Lucy Fox; his great great grandchildren, Leland, Jax Tapp and Mason Jones; and his sister Pat Payne (Bill). He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, Inc. (134 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at the East Lawn Cemetery (5715 Island Ford Rd, Hanson, KY 42413).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Omar's memory to First Baptist Church, 246 North Main Street, Madisonville, KY 42431.
