He was predeceased by: his parents, Trice Warren Yates and Marguerite Bigham Yates; his wife Jeanette Harris; and his brother Charlie. He is survived by: his children, Beth Huff (Jesse), David Yates (Kelly) and Kyle Yates (Maureen); his grandchildren, Conner Huff (Abbey), Monica Huff (Jared) and Austin Yates; his great grandchildren, Bryce Yates and Kyle Owen Yates; his sister-in-law Beverly Dockrey; his niece Charlotte Weber (Ron); and his nephew Alan Dockrey (Becky).
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, Inc. (134 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery (805 W Center St, Madisonville, KY 42431).
