The memory of Johnny Troop of Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Troop and Eula Burns Troop; and his sisters, Elizabeth Cloern and Margaret DeMoss. He is survived by: his wife Jean Troop; his children, Jonathan Troop of Madisonville, Jan Carlton (Rob) of Owensboro and Scarlett Beeny (Alan) of Madisonville; his grandson Alex Beeny of Lexington; his sisters, Sharon Gray of Owensboro and Gayle Haviland (Warren) of Owensboro; and his siblings-in-law, Tommy Hudson of Hanson and Sheryl Hudson of Joliet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Barnett Strother Funeral Home (2285 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
