He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Brown and Clara Curneal Brown; his former wife Faye Ellen Johnston Brown; his wife Margaret Tinsley Brown; his daughter Pamela Faye Taylor; and his siblings, Lucille, Margaret, Fanny Earl, Johnny C., Rudene and Wilson.
He is survived by: his son James L. Brown (Jocelyn) of Albion, IL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
