As we bid Douglas farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Douglas is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He is survived by: his parents, Robert Lewis Hartin and Marilyn Rae Moore Hartin of Madisonville, KY.; his children, Courtney Dishan Hartin, Caleb Douglas Hartin (Ashley) and Caitlin Rae Hartin; his grandson Eric Joseph Meece; and his former wife Rebecca.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home (2285 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (2355 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431).
