She was predeceased by: her parents, William Washington and Jessie Mae Christian Washington; her husband Welden Hughes; her daughter Alice Jones; and her siblings, Frank Washington, Ella Louise McFarland, Lillie Mae Washington and Cora Lee Washington.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Jones (Cameisha) of Madisonville, Charles Jones Jr. (Shalane) of Fort Knox, Kentucky, Teressa Jones of Louisville and Beverly Acree of Clarksville, Tennessee; her brother James D. Washington (Lillie) of Madisonville; and her sister-in-law Karla Washington of Madisonville. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
