It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen Gloria Villanueva of Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Auri Laugier and Santiago Garcia Veve; her husband Alexander B. Villanueva, Sr.; and her siblings, Santiago "Jimmy" Garcia Veve and Julie Solidad Colon.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Villanueva-Hill of Madisonville, Alexander B. Villanueva, Jr. (Sharilyn) of Lawrenceville, GA and Anthony Charles Villanueva (Michelle) of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Joshua A. Hill (Amanda), Andrew C. Hill (Melyssa), Michael A. Hill (Kelsey), Jade Fruge (Allen), Malia Villanueva and Zoe L. Villanueva; her great grandchildren, Kylie D. Hill, Kylynn G. Hill, Khye H. Hill, Logyn P. Hill, Blayke E. Hill, Hayes P. Hill, Breckyn W. Hill, Coleman J. Hill, Aidyn Fruge, Theodore Fruge and Madeline Fruge; and her stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Burks (Hailey) and Lauren Burks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1600 Kingsway Dr, Madisonville, KY 42431). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West (5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240).
