He is survived by: his wife Berdena; his son Gary Carpenter (Carla) of Hawesville; his grandchildren, Brent Carpenter (Michelle) of Westmoreland, TN and Grant Carpenter (Kimberly) of Boca Raton, FL; and his siblings, Joyce Arthur, Sally Powell, Walker, Denver (Mae), Earl (Carol), Don and Wendall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
