He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sears and Gertrude Sears; and his sister Otessa Phelps. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sears (McCauley); his children, Dawn Cook (Brian), Kevin Sears (Kelly) and Amy Yeary (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Morgan Forshey (Brandon), Madison Cook, Macean Cook, Tyler Sears, Haleigh Sears, Dylan Sears, Kylie Sears, Chandler Yeary and Alexis Yeary. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Appalachia Reachout, a ministry of the Church of the Nazarene.
