She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse McCoy and Carmie Debord McCoy; her husband Arthur Thompson; and her daughters, Diana Katherine Thompson and Margaret Marie McKenzie.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Fairchild; and her sister Phoebe Grim. She is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
