William C. Schmitt Obituary
We bid farewell to William C. Schmitt of Louisville, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 7, 2025 at the age of 93. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schmitt and Helen Schmitt; and his sisters, Dorris Lively and Beverly Dunn. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Kathy Patterson (Darell), Julie Thompson (Rick), Carol Emmons (Steve), Linda Slaughter, Tammy Walsh (John), Lisa Evans (Galen), Angie Schwendau and Amy O'Dell (Arnold); and his brother Tony Schmitt. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (10600 Taylorsville Rd, Jeffersontown, KY 40299). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
