He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry Gast and Georgia Oliver Gast; his siblings, Bill Gast (Joyce), Joe Gast, Dorothy Gast Myers (Norman), Mike Gast, Sharon Gast Taylor and Georgia Hayes Mattingly (Steve); and also James Thomas Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Peace Gast; his daughter Meredith Gast Hollomon (Jay); his grandchildren, Grant Moore Hollomon and Lindsey Caroline Hollomon; and his in-laws, Joyce Gast (Joe) and Johnny Taylor (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pearson Funeral Home (149 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers or a charity of your choice.
