He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Burge Schnurr; his son Daniel J. Schnurr; his parents, Norbert Schnurr and Theresa Schnurr; and his brother Edward Schnurr.
He is survived by: his children, Lynda Rikas (Philip), Michael Schnurr (Terri) and Andrew Schnurr; and his daughter-in-law Donna Schnurr. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home (3711 Lexington Rd, Louisville, KY 40207). A Mass was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (1395 Girard Dr, Louisville, KY 40222).
