In the vast expanse of eternity, Van shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Van farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hodge and Dorothy Hodge; and his siblings, Norman Hodge and Velma Martin. He is survived by: his wife Karolyn Hodge; his children, Van Hodge Jr. and Stacey Hodge Walker (Radames); his grandchildren, Bria Walker and Shayla Walker; and his siblings, Larry Hodge (Charisse) and Linda Vernon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
