He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Powers and Leota Powers; and his brother Charles Wayne Powers. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Burns Powers; his children, Mark Powers (Cheri) and Nicole Seraphine; his grandchildren, Caden, Kylie, Cole Seraphine and Kyan Powers; and his brother Eugene Powers.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fern Creek Funeral Home (5406 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fern Creek Baptist Church (5920 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291). An entombment was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Resthaven Memorial Park (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218).
