It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven William Rayburn of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Medley Rayburn and Eva Rayburn; his sister Gina Whitehead; and his grandchildren, Cameron and Emma.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Rayburn; his children, Steven William Rayburn II (Farah), Eric Rayburn (Rachel), Amanda Price (Michael), Chris Roberts (Melissa), Jason Roberts (Trisha), Stephanie Clay (Matt) and Rebecca Daniel (Paul); and his sister Betty Babbitt (Earl). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 S Buckman St, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
