With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Mae Beard (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on January 11, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her children, William Simpson (Irma), Theresa Simpson, Dee Simpson, Edveta Simpson, Pamela Simpson and Warren Simpson; her pet Java; her grandchildren, Christopher Simpson, Jessica Bellamy and Lynnette Fraser (Elwyn); and her great grandchildren, Eloy and Elyas Fraser.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Kentucky Derby Museum (704 Central Ave, Louisville, KY 40208). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Community Missionary Baptist Church (4909 E Indian Trail, Louisville, KY 40218-3800).
