She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Melvin Charles Hobbs; her daughter Leslie Renee Ash; her stepchildren, Dawn Marie Hobbs and Matthew R. Hobbs (Jennifer); her brother John Waterbury (Jay); her grandchildren, Katelyn McKenzie Haggard, Shelby Renee Ash and Jeffrey Dorian Ash; her great grandchild Haven Belle Armstrong; her daughter Melissa Graham Ash; and her parents, Ada Mildred Waterbury and John Garland Waterbury.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
