She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kirchdorfer and Rose Kirchdorfer; her husband James L. Dowd; her siblings, James J. Kirchdorfer and Martha Sue Dierker; and her cousin Mildred "Mimi" Johns.
She is survived by: her children, James Michael Dowd (Sandy), Diane Rose Dowd (Paul MacDonald) and Susan Marie Dowd Jewell (Jeffrey); and her grandchildren, Aimee, Caitlin, Mary, Amanda, Amber, Shannon and Justin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highlands Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (508 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207). A burial will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
