He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Earl Drake and Susan Brabandt Drake; and his brother Amos Earl Drake Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen; and his sisters, Katherine Butor of Louisville, Mary Louise Cobb of Louisville, Pauline Wood of Louisville and Margaret Wilkin of St. Paul.
