He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gering and Elsie Gering. He is survived by: his children, Paula and Chris; and his grandchildren, Nick and Dana.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ratterman Funeral Home (3711 Lexington Rd, Louisville, KY 40207). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Assumption (435 S 5th St, Louisville, KY 40202).
