He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Mattingly and Arnita Mattingly; his son Allen Mattingly; and his sisters, Diane and Nina Mattingly.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Mattingly; his daughter Jenny Quinn (David); his siblings, Linda Ryan, Judy Mattingly (Cathy Turner) and Bobby Mattingly (Susan); and his grandsons, Connor and Owen Quinn.
He survived covid pneumonia, a car crash that almost took his life and broke his back, and cancer for ultimately 2 years before it ended his life.
