With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Sue Barnard of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nelda Sue leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nelda Sue may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nelson Lloyd and Anna Lloyd (Price); her brother Vanous Lloyd; her children, Shelley Terry and Michael Barnard (Jennifer); and her granddaughters, Paige Terry and Paxton Barnard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Bethany Cemetery (10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272).
In honor of Nelda's memory, the family requests contributions be made to the Dementia Society of America.
