He is survived by: his wife Helen Louise Schmitt (Stuedle); his children, Shirley Simons and Michael Schmitt (Monique); his grandchildren, Joellen Simons-Habich (Jason), Dana Nettleton (Carl), Bryce Schmitt and Zachary Schmitt; his great grandchildren, Alexandria Simons, William Simons, Hannah Habich, Braden Habich and LeAnn Nettleton; his siblings, Doug Schmitt, Carol Dawson (Mike) and Mary Holloway (Henry); and his sister-in-law Jane Schmitt.
