He is survived by: his children, Michael McDowell, Jr. (Victoria) and Lelia Austin (Brian); his siblings, Doug McDowell (Bobbie Lou), Russell Parrish, Jr. (Karen), Thelma Parrish, Alma Allen (Roscoe), Janice Downey, Sharlene Booth and Jennifer Clevenger; and his granddaughters, Chloe, Ellie Austin, Lily and Myla McDowell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
