She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey Summers and Edna Smith Summers; her husband Herbert B. Bennett; and her siblings, JC, Bobby, Billy Summers and Wilma Sharp.

She is survived by: her children, Pamela Bennett Slung and Steve Bennett (Ann); her grandchildren, Barth Slung (Katelyn), Steven Bennett and Jennifer "Gigi" Bennett; and her sister Edith McCoy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
