She was predeceased by: her parents, William Altmiller and Esther Vowels Altmiller; her husband Frank Mersmann; her daughter Mary Rita Haselhorst; and her siblings, Joann Shaughnessy, Ruth Azar, William and Jim Altmiller.

She is survived by: her children, Martina Goldman (Bobby), Esther Paul (Mike Taylor), Stephen, Patrick (Denise) and Peter Mersmann; and her son-in-law John Haselhorst. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
