With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret A. Schaftlein (Louisville, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Leo Schaftlein; and her children, Donald W. Schaftlein and Theresa Ann Seadler. She is survived by: her children, Michael Thomas, Richard Carl Schaftlein, Carolyn Jean Hobbs (Dave) and Angela Marie Rayman (Michael); and her sister Frances Schaftlein (David). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ratterman Southwest Funeral Home (4832 Cane Run Rd, Louisville, KY 40216). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
