She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dorothy Ames and Roger Ames; her husband Charles Barret Birnsteel; her son John (Lindsey); her grandchildren, Brooke, Sally and Charles; and her siblings, Cynnie-Belle Petersen and Bruce Ames.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pearson's (149 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207).
