He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Smith and Rose Smith (Sapak); and his granddaughter Hannah Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betsy; his sons, Tim (Shannon) and Benjamin (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Mackenzie and Audrey Smith; and his brother Darryl Smith (Vicki).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home (12900 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association and Hosparus of Louisville.
