He is survived by: his stepchildren, Tommy Friel and Darlene Friel (Chris Carson); his grandchildren, Jordan Friel, Emma Friel and John Carson; his great grandchildren, Amya and Paisley; and his brother-in-law Richard Bassett (Carl Hall).
