He is survived by: his children, Rachel Oakes, Alaina Oakes, Aleah Oakes and Jason Oakes; his mother Marzetta; his siblings, Edward Abell (Susan) and Racheal Ballinger; his former wife Stephanie Oakes; and his mother-in-law Judy Grayson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home and Cremation Services (411 Fairdale Rd, Fairdale, KY 40118).
